Chief Financial Officer / Finance Director

Energy / Utilities Sector, Asia Pacific - Country TBD

The CFO will have overall responsibility for the entire Asia Pacific operations of the group, and will be able to demonstrate experience within major project finance, asset management and dead equity disposal within a major power generation / utility operation.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct business and financial strategy and planning for the company as a member of the Executive Team, and for Finance / Corporate Affairs.
• Oversees financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensures timely financial / statistical reports for management.
• Supervises the project & corporate finance areas, including structuring the delivery of financial advisory services to all areas of the business.
• Develops and maintains key partners, service providers, stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Meeting all CAPEX / OPEX requirements.
• Managing profitability to targets.
• Clear definition of strategy & goals for Finance & Corporate Affairs.
• Improving Internal Processes.

The Person:

• Ten years senior level involvement in managing financial aspects of complex energy sector projects.
• Strong understanding and exposure of the Asia Pacific or other multicultural regions.
• US/UK/EUR Business or Accounting professional qualification.
• Good balance of technical knowledge, strategic flair and hands on involvement.
• High Level of verbal and written communication skills, with fluency of English.
• Ambitious and motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects, and the desire to make a mark in a company that is in a league of its own.
• Astute negotiation skills with strong business acumen and financial analysis experience.
• Energetic 'Can Do' approach with strong leadership experience with the proven ability to understand complex situations quickly and make sound judgements.
• The desire to grow beyond this role, within the global operations of this major organisation.
