Senior SQL Server Database Administrator
Sr. SQL Server DBA Qualification Required: 1. BS degree in Information Technology/Computer Science. 2. A minimum of 7 years or more of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server Database Administration 3. A thorough understanding of relational databases and SQL 4. A thorough understanding of database backup concepts and procedures 5. A thorough understanding of Microsoft Operating System - Server 2003 6. Experience with MS SQL Server 2005 Administration, including management tools 7. Experience with the MS SQL Clustering architecture 8. Experience with MS SQL database mirroring and Replication 9. Experience with Transact SQL language programming 10. Experience with database communication mechanisms preferred: .NET, ODBC and TCP/IP 11. Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle 12. Understanding of logical and physical modeling concepts 13. Knowledge of new database technologies a plus Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and to work well under pressure. Ability to work in fast-paced teamwork environment. Financial services or market knowledge a plus
