REQUIRED >ALL MEDICAL ASSISTANT PERSONNEL, DOCTOR AND NURSES.
Duties as Medical Assistants
Operates blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes.
Assists medical professionals with patient examinations or procedures.
Performs routine tests as ordered by medical professionals.
Cleans and restocks examination rooms; sterilizes instruments.
Records patient and testing information.
Understand and comply with OSHA requirements (29 CFR Part 1910) for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Conduct EKGs and spirometry tests as appropriate.
Therapists assistance.
Wellness assistance.
Order office and clinical supplies. Process and maintain records of purchase orders.
Process medical records requests: screen incoming requests; pull charts and route
to physician for approval; copy pertinent information, adhering to established rules for protection of confidentiality in releases to third parties; prepare related billing invoice.
Perform various data entry and information retrieval tasks using computerized
patient records system.
Understand and comply with MSDS and HAZCOM procedures and policies as part of UNE's comprehensive OSHA compliance program.
Understand and comply with OSHA’s Blood born Pathogen Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).
Duties as Medical Supervisor
Oversees the activities of the MAs. Report activites to the Head of Unit.
