Welding Engineer
A Durban based leading manufacturer in the Heat Exchanger, Pressure Vessel and Sugar industries seeks to appoint a Welding Engineer. The successful candidate’s responsibilities would include: • Overall responsibility for managing all aspects of the welding division, to include front-end engineering, production and liaison with clients and relevant inspection authorities. Requirements: • The candidate will be a qualified IWE (International  Welding Engineer) or a IWT (International Welding Technologist)  • The candidate will have a technical background and suitably qualified in welding/metallurgy  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Welding Engineer   • Candidate to be fully conversant with codes of construction, relevant to pressure vessel manufacture, together with strong written and verbal communication skills  • The candidate must be a “hands on” individual, flexible and able to work under pressure with attention to detail. The above position is a permanent position and the company is prepared to negotiate an attractive remuneration package with the suitable candidate. Application letters and detailed CVs can be forwarded to :The Human Resources Manager, Box 301, Durban, 4000, or faxto 0865889536 or e-mail hr@elgin.co.za CLOSING DATE : 26 May 2009
