Welding Supervisor
A Durban based leading manufacturer in the Heat Exchanger, Pressure Vessel and Sugar industries seeks suitable candidate for the position of Welding Supervisor. The successful candidate’s responsibilities would include: • Supervision of a team of ± 30 welders  • Be able to work to ASME and BS codes  • Have an understanding of WPS and PQR requirements and wilders qualifications. Requirements: • The candidate will preferably be a Trade Tested Welder who has completed Supervisory Management courses  • The candidate will have a min of 5 years experience as a Supervisor and 10 years experience as a Welder  • Must have experience in Heat Exchangers and/or Pressure Vessel manufacturing along with a knowledge of GTAW, SMAW, Flux Core and Submerged Arc Welding processes and equipment   • Candidate to have strong leadership qualities, with attention to detail, be a team player and to lead by example.   The above position is a permanent position and the company is prepared to negotiate an attractive remuneration package with the suitable candidate. Application letters and detailed CVs can be forwarded to :The Human Resources Manager, Box 301, Durban, South Africa 4000, or faxto 0865889536 or e-mail hr@elgin.co.za CLOSING DATE : 25 May 2009
