Production Planner
We currently have an opportunity for a Production Planner to join our Energy Division based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The Production Planner will primarily be responsible for orchestrating the production planning, scheduling, forecasting and drafting policies for the Nalco Saudi Arabia operation. Other Responsibilities include: 
  1.  
    1. Receive all requirements from different parties like Customer Service and Sales. These requirements include Sales Orders and Forecasts.
    2. Translating these requirements into short (weekly/monthly) and long term (Rough Cut Capacity Planning).
    3. Issue production plans and share them with concerned parties (Operation Supervisor, Customer Service, and Warehouse).
    4. Amend/revise production plans as needed to absorb any fluctuation in demand, or in operation.
    5. Apply the principle of MRP related to new requirements.
    6. To be the link of contact between Customer Service, Production, W/H, Purchasing, LAB, and Applied Services as laid out by the planning process.
    7. Run monthly reviews on capacity (machines and people) versus demand. Any issue in capacity should be highlighted to management with proposed action/solution.
    8. Define Make to Stock (MTS) and Make to Order Policies on Y-Sold/Finished Product Level.
    9. Regularly review stock levels of raw materials and finished products and initiate obsolete inventory action plans.
    10. Draft and set up new policies for the planning process within supply chain.
  The minimum qualification the candidate will have include: 

a.     BSc in Production Engineering (or equivalent e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering).

b.    Min 5 years experience as a Production Planner using ERP systems (SCALA is a plus).

c.     Fluent in English.

d.    Have a good history of working in a team environment.

e.        Previous experience in planning e.g. safety stocks, reorder points, lead times, demonstrable ability on how to draft a planning cycle.)  The desired candidate will have professional experience to include: a.     Production Planning and Scheduling. b.    MRP Module in ERP (SCALA, SAP).c.     Forecasts roll up.d.    Reporting Sales vs. Forecasts and Plans.  Nalco Company is the world’s leading water treatment and process improvement company.
