  As part of their development, they are building a special ‘free zone’ as a city that will incorporate not just state of the art research, education and technology development units, but will also showcase the latest technologies in sustainable practices for residential and commercial purpose. When completed, this project will offer a community capable of supporting 100,000 residents and will be the first and currently only carbon neutral city of its kind in the world.   

Role Overview 

  This is your opportunity to become a part of this groundbreaking development, where your skills and expertise will help to ensure that this model of urban sustainability is a standard by which cities are designed and developed in the future. 

  The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall execution and delivery of the project with direct responsibility for all of the Project Management teams and staff working within budgets and schedules and will, along with the Project Director, your role will include the implementation of the appropriate systems that will monitor the progress of the project, the co-ordination of between sub-projects and the other technical units involved in the development and the company. The primary role of this position is to ensure the quality, cost effectiveness and speed of delivery of the program.   

Key Candidate Requirements 

o    You will bring with you experience of large-scale, complex project development within the construction industry, and have potentially worked on major projects such as airports or multi-functional real estate. You will have a thorough knowledge of program/project management skills including a deep understanding of the functional aspects of planning, design and construction. 

o    All major aspects of the program will be under the direct control of this position, and in addition to the above you will be able to demonstrate experience in budget setting, project delivery expertise, tendering of program components and overseeing delivery from external contributors into a major project.

o    You will be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership and management capabilities, and also bring the ability to effectively track the finances of a major project whilst providing guidance and direction to project managers, and preparing regular reports in regards to the progress, delivery and budget of the program. 

o    You will preferably hold a Masters in Engineering or Construction Management and also PMP certification. You will at least be educated to Bachelors, and bring at least seven years experience in the project management of large scale developments.
