Our client is a leading global retail fashion company representing some of the most popular, developing and diverse brands within fashion and retail. The organization covers wholesale and retail trading across international brands including clothing, shoes and perfume for men, women and children.

They are an expanding and developing company moving into new areas such as home furnishings and into new locations across the Middle East and the USA

OVERVIEW

To source new Ladies apparel and merchandise while reviewing existing items to ensure products remain competitive and on target.

By fully understanding customer’s needs, they must be able to maximize profits and provide a commercially viable range of merchandise at competitive prices.

Keeping up to date with market trends and reacting to changes in demand are key elements of the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyzing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends
• Regularly reviewing performance indicators, e.g. sales and discount levels
• Managing plans for stock levels
• Reacting to changes in demand
• Reacting to changes in logistics
• Meeting suppliers and negotiating terms of contract
• Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products
• Liaising with other departments within the organization to ensure projects are completed
• Participating in promotional activities
• Writing reports and forecasting sales levels
• Presenting new ranges to senior retail managers
• Liaising with shop personnel to ensure product/collection supply meets demand
• Seeking merchandise feedback from customers
• Training and mentoring junior staff

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree within a Relevant Subject
• Experience within the Middle East is preferred
• Experience within a high end Fashion retail company as a Buyer
• Should have strong experience in Footwear
• Computer literate with very good command of English
