BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Our client is a leading international company who are one of the most well respected and renowned brands in the world. They have expertise in international express, air and ocean freight, road and rail transportation, contract logistics and international mail services to its customers.

We are now looking for a highly experienced professional to join their team in the position of Business Development Director, based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

JOB OVERVIEW

·         This role is responsible for developing and implementing the growth strategy and business opportunities within Saudi

·         In line with the agreed strategy, building a pipeline of opportunities and delivering new business revenues and profit

·         Responsible for delivering Business Development growth

·         Business Development in an Emerging market with the worlds largest Oil producing company

·         Development and implementation of new projects

·         Prepare new project and/or operational analyses and reports to improve the business

·         Strong focus on Solution Design for existing and new customers

·         Overseeing 1 Country and 2 Business Units

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Achieving a high return on Business Development Investment
• Delivering Business Development Growth targets year on year
• Managing the stages of Business Development through the Accelerate process
• Establishing & fostering strong relationships with key customer organizations
• Maintaining healthy and realistic Business Development pipelines in line with the ambitious country BD Targets
• Business Development Reporting and processes in line with the company’s   standards
• Working with the Executive team to agree the growth strategy and targets for the country
• Building Business Development capabilities within the country

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Have 5 years Business Development Director or Business Development Manager experience in an international Supply Chain division
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in Supply Chain - Logistics - Transportation - Warehousing business
• Experience in dealing with several projects over 150 million Saudi Riyals (40 million USD) minimum
• Any International Accreditation in (Supply Chain), (Logistics), (Transportation and Warehousing) is preferred
• GCC experience preferred
• Fluent English is essential
• Arabic speakers also welcome
• Degree qualified (Operations/ Industrial/ Business) is preferred
