DEPUTY HEAD OF THE STRUCTURE DEPARTMENT

Our client is a multinational European construction engineering company with over 800 employees. They work with clients is various fields including Project Management, and Technical Design Consultancy. They work on Building Sponsorship, Construction Cost Management, Construction Methods, Project Monitoring, Project Coordination and more

 

They are currently working with leading contracts based in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. They have a broad range of high level expertise, international experience and they are involved in some large and well respected projects. They are a pioneer within the building industry and strive for continuous innovation and efficiency in their solutions.

 

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Head of the Structure Department to join the team in Paris with travel throughout Saudi and the Middle East depending on projects.

 

 

OVERVIEW

 

Turnkey project assignments for major buildings in the tertiary sector, with assistance to the Head of the Structure Department in technical follow-up of projects, business dealings, customer focus and production



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·           Ensure technical coordination of projects with the Project Engineers, in collaboration with other departments

·           Adopt transversal measures and actions for implementing innovative techniques

·           Participate in the management of means and budgets

·           Represent and embody structural services for clients

 

 

KEY SKILLS

 

  • A good command of English & French language
  • Good computing Office skills are required, along with
  • Experience in team management will be an asset

 

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • French citizens or people with a visa to work in France very welcome to apply
  • Engineering qualifications (ESTP, INSA, CHEC etc)
  • At least 15 years experience in reinforced/ pre-stressed concrete and geotechnics
  • An excellent command of design in the fields of reinforced/ pre-stressed concrete, structural steelwork as well as earthquake resistance
  • Computing knowledge of at least one design software for finite element calculations (ROBOT, EFFEL etc)
  • Candidates must have a good level of French         
  • Knowledge of British and American standards preferred

 

 

BENEFITS:

 

  • As a guide base salary of up to 60,000 to 75,000 € per annum
  • This should be used as a guide only and will reflect experience levels

  • The annual salary is paid in 13 monthly payments
  •  A bonus is given based on the individual’s performance
  • There are 30 legal days off paid + between 10 and 15 others also paid by the company
  • Hotel expenses paid for whilst securing accommodation in France
