Regional Retail Manager

Our client is a worldwide healthcare organization, providing health solutions and insurance for the Middle East.

 

They are currently looking for an experienced Regional Retail Manager for their expanding team in Damman. This role is open to Saudi nationals only who have strong experience of working in a multi-national, multi-cultural environment, ideally in the Middle East.

 

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

 

Reporting to: Corporate Sales Director

 

Management and leadership of all Sales functions in the designated geographical region/s for Delivery, Promotion, Management and Controls of relevant Arabia products and services sales through set and agreed objectives (revenue and lives) in new business and retention streams of all Retail Sales Channels - field sales, retail outlets, passport office branches.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Include the following, while other duties may be assigned thereafter:

 

  • Provides detailed sales plan and targets for an on going 12 months for sales area
  • Manages and leads multi-channel Retail Sales team to achieve all elements of prospecting and selling efforts in market segment with <100 members, while ensuring manpower requirement in the region are always met
  • To appropriately segment the SMEs, Families and Individual market and allocate Sales resources to capture targeted objectives in the region
  • To maintain a balance of Sales through each Sales Channel (Field Sales and Outlets) for maximum market share capture
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key and potential clients in the designated region
  • Manages Retention function and team for maintaining, servicing, premium collections in line with our clients credit Control Policy, and renewing existing clients to achieve retention targets
  • Manages quality workflow and procedures to ensure maximum business efficiency and maintains appropriate levels of professional written and spoken sales activity in both the Arabic and English languages with open communication through office
  • Ensures that CRM database is kept updated by area team on all sales activity, forecast and results. In addition to weekly/monthly reports on overall area performance
  • Contributes to the strategic direction of the Sales by way of team management meetings, and directly contribute to the sales plan
  • Manages and leads the territory Sales teams to achieve AOP sales targets within the agreed performance management process
  • Ensures effective cost management of the regional budget including, training, travel, incentives and capital expenditures
  • Ensures sales policy is observed in meeting operational requirements and legal criteria observed in terms of Saudi Arabian laws and regulatory requirements
  • Maintains and provides high level of information on PMI market trends and regulation update, together with competitor products, pricing moves etc. Based on this, recommends/plans for Sales and distribution expansion in the designated region
  • Other duties as may be assigned, i.e. Marketing activities, Providers communication and negotiation in co-ordination with Hospital Contracting Manger/Team

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES               

 

·         Ability to effectively work in a multi-gender, multi-national work team; whilst displaying particular sensitivity towards opposite gender, cultural and ethnic differences     

·         Ability to travel, in accordance to operational requirements

·         Must have good self-management, team-management, motivational, negotiation, communication and presentation skills

·         Must be able to work under minimum supervision on a day to day basis.

·         Must have previous experience of working in a multi-national, multi-cultural environment, ideally in the Middle East. Experience in the (medical) insurance field would be considered a plus

·         Strong commercial and numerate competency to direct sales policy in respect of risk management and claims related corporate pricing

·         Must be able to plan on both strategic and tactical levels making accurate assumptions of resource requirements, which will affect the profitability of the business

·         Decisions have to be taken in a timely manner, prioritising where appropriate, limiting adverse situations and gaining commitment to course of action.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

·            Bachelor Degree from a ideally recognized University

·            5+ years Managerial experience in a retail role.

·            Experience in Medical insurance is preferred but not essential

·            Ability to communicate clearly read and write effectively; in English and Arabic

·            Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

·            To perform this job successfully, an individual should have sound computer skills in the MS Office Package

·            Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 

SALARY

 

·         Total package up to 40k SAR per month/ $127k USD per annum (Depends upon experience and qualifications)
