Cost Engineer
The Cost Engineer works within the Project Controls group and reports to the Senior Cost Engineer.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintains familiarity with all aspects of the Project Controls Plan
• Coordinates and prepares input to the Monthly Progress Report by gathering cost data, schedule dates, progress, financial information, EH&S data, quality activities, contracts input, construction reporting, forecasting and narratives and assure the integrity of the data. 
• Allocates project costs in accordance with the Project WBS
• Ensures that all project costs are classified in accordance with the Project Code of Accounts.
• Evaluates progress for all projects/contracts using Earned Value metrics
• Assimilates cost/schedule trending information to assist in forecasting potential problems associated with cost and time and maintain the Trend Register
• Assists in preparation of Trend Notices
• Calculates trended Estimates-at-Completion (EAC’s) using EVM tools
• Management and the Client on a periodic basis in accordance with established procedures
• Maintains an automated estimating/budget/trend database in support of the estimating group.
• Maintains the Schedule Impact Report (SIR) Log
• Evaluates and verify accuracy of progress and progress applications for payment submitted by the subcontractors and consultants
• Maintains reports to accurately reflect current budgets, invoices and committed costs; projected-to-go or cost-to-complete estimates; budget variances; cash flow projections; and schedules of values for individual contracts or projects
• Prepares a monthly consolidated Project Cost Report

Requirements/ Experience:

• Background with all aspects of the Project Control Plan 
• At least 5 years of experience in cost data and quantity activities 
• Minimum 7 years of overall experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in the Middle East - preferred
• A university level, four year degree (Industrial Engineer)
