Our client is a leading company specializing in Retail across Kuwait and the Middle East. They have divisions including Supermarkets, Restaurants and Fashion Retail. They are currently expanding across the GCC region with new launches planned across various countries in prime locations.

We are looking for an experienced Catering Manager to manage the ongoing development of this area of the business based in Kuwait

 

OVERVIEW

 

To plan, organize and develop the food and beverage services of organizations and businesses, whilst meeting customer expectations, food and hygiene standards and financial targets.

 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Keeping abreast of trends and developments in the catering industry such as menus,

consumer tastes and management issues

  • Recruiting and training permanent and casual staff
  • Organizing, leading and motivating the catering team
  • Planning menus in coordination with chefs
  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are strictly observed
  • Budgeting and establishing financial targets and forecasts and approving them with managers
  • Monitoring the quality of the product and service provided
  • Keeping the payroll and monitoring spending levels
  • Maintaining stock levels and ordering new supplies as required, to ensure no stock outs
  • Interacting with customers if involved with "front of house" work
  • Liaising with suppliers and clients
  • Negotiating contracts with customers(in contract catering)
  • Overseeing the management of facilities., e.g. checking event bookings and allocation

of resources/staff

  • Planning new promotions and initiatives and contributing to business development
  • Dealing with staffing & client issues

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Degree within a relevant subject
  • 5 years relevant experience
  • Strong years experience as a Catering Manager
  • Should have experience in several types of cuisine
  • Experience within the Middle East is preferred
  • Open to all nationalities

  • The salary should be used as a guide only and will reflect experience levels and interview performance
  • Total Salary Package: Up to 550 KWD per month/ $25k USD per annum
