HR Manager

Our client is an International Leading Fashion Retail Group. They represent some of the most fashion focused high street brands from the UK and the USA as well as other global names.

 

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to handle some of the most well known fashion franchise brands.

 

JOB OVERVIEW

 

The job holder will be responsible for providing strategic support to the Territory Head in terms of manpower planning, resource allocation, recruitment, talent development and human resource operations within the territory

 

The successful candidate will be handling a work force of over 500 international employees with a fashion retail sales force spread across 29 stores and potential to roll out more stores in the future.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Manpower Planning & Recruitment

  • Plan and prepare annual manpower acquisition plan and budget for the Territory
  • Ensure achievement of the recruitment targets for the Territory as per the approved manpower budget
  • Ensure effective utilization of the local recruitment quota (nationalization target)
  • Decide on the priority recruitment channels for the Territory in consultation with the corporate Talent Supply Manager
  • Focus on all junior management hiring (shortlisting, scheduling, interview, selection, negotiation and offer acceptance)
  • Support the corporate Talent Supply Manager in hiring the middle and senior management positions

 

Induction, Training & Development (in case applicable)

  • Support the Learning & Development team in the Training needs analysis for the Territory
  • Ensure smooth execution of the induction process for the new entrants (induction training, cubicle allotment, team introduction, joining processes and formalities, etc.)
  • Conduct monthly induction workshops and ensure end to end onboarding for new hires
  • Distribute Employee Services Handbook to new entrants to familiarize them about the company, service rules and benefits

 

Employee Relations

  • Introduce Employee Retention/Recognition Programmes such as Employee of the month, Long Service Award, etc. for the Territory
  • Manage the HR Information system effectively to ensure that correct and complete information is stored in the system and is used effectively for the benefit of the organization
  • Enable management of employee requests on an on-going basis. These may include but not limited to vacation requests, transfers, employee certificates, etc.
  • Manage the employee separation process, thereby ensuring smooth exit of employee from the organization. This may include managing activities such as exit interviews, full and final settlement, etc.
  • Ensure safekeeping and maintenance of all employee related files and records
  • Ensure effective implementation of HR policies across the territory
  • Ensure compliance with statutory provisions with respect to people practices and processes

 

Administration (in case applicable)

  • Manage administration activities like taking care of the staying arrangements of employees, transportation, pantry, housekeeping, etc.
  • Manage the reception and secretaries of the Territory
  • Monitor visa application and issue for employees in the Territory

 

Performance Management & Rewards

·         Facilitate the performance management process in the Territory

·         Ensure communication and implementation of the performance management system to enable enforcement of the same across the Territory

·         Create a culture of setting goal, timely review and feedback among the senior employees and head of functions within the territory

·         Ensure objective administration of the performance appraisal process and accuracy in feedback collation

·         Ensure tracking of performance management and present reports on a regular basis to the management

·         Recommend employees for promotion in a particular year by identifying high performer and high potential employees on the basis of the performance management system outcomes

·         Support the corporate Rewards & Policy Manager in increment planning, incentive allocation and policy review for the territory

·         Execute on-time disbursement of increments and incentive for the employees in the territory

 

Business Context

·         Support business initiatives to develop a performance driven, customer-oriented culture

·         Find out the irritants which are causing non – performance, it could be issues with the supervisor, infrastructure support, pay package, no delegation of work etc

·         Partner with the business to drive important HR initiatives

 

People Management

·         Manage and support recruitment

·         Monitor team development and facilitate complaint resolution

·         Set goals for direct reports and conduct performance appraisal

·         Oversee team deployment and drive motivation levels of the direct reportees

 

Change Management

·         Provide strategic support to Territory Head for all change management activities

·         Propose and execute changes/improvements within Human Resources to introduce best practices

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

·         Post-graduate degree in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resources Management

·         10-12 years of experience in Human Resources

·         Minimum of 3 years HR experience in UAE

·         6 years in experience in a generalist role

·         Advanced knowledge of HR processes/policies (Management Development initiatives/ administration, Recruitment/ Expatriate Recruitment tools & Competency Based Hiring, Compensation modeling, Performance Management Systems and Models )

·         Awareness of the local labour law and legal compliance
