Our client is a leading Water and Wastewater Western company working with new contracts across the Middle East. They are a highly respected company with a great reputation and have a large multicultural workforce.

We are looking for an experienced Site/ Plant Manager to head up their Wastewater/ Purification Site near Oran in Algeria covering 200,000 inhabitants

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Site Manager will hold regular contact between our client and their contracting company in Algeria. This will include representing the company to the contracting company as well as holding regular communications and creating activity reports
Supervising existing team of 20 – currently expanding

External parties: Contracting company, regulators, governments, suppliers, subcontractors

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Compliance with effluent discharge levels

·         Compliance with technical performance indicators

·         Disposal of sewage by-products in compliance with contractual obligations

·         Optimizing the process

·         Successful completion of maintenance operations and maintenance facilities

·         Organizing load plans and personnel security including the drafting of the operating procedures of structures

·         Compliance with regulatory requirements including safety (controls, electric hoists, etc)

·         He will control costs according to budget estimates

·         He will provide guidance and facilitation of the operations team consisting of 20 people (level technicians and operating personnel)

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

·         A minimum of 5 years experience in managing or commissioning treatment plants

·         Good experience in the process operations of sewage-type sludge activated by extended aeration

·         Significant experience in team management

·         Training Engineers in the field of water treatment or chemical engineering

·         Should have managed a plant for over 50,000 inhabitants – This site will provide for around 200,000

·         Open to all westerners – FLUENCY IN FRENCH IS REQUIRED
