Developing the capability to design and test-fly demonstrator systems in order to demonstrate UAV/UAS capability and technology. This activity is centred on a secure assembly and test facility. Job Description Work with systems engineers within the UAV Ground Systems Section in support of requirements analysis, design, and Integration & Test for new development efforts on existing programs. Support software development of new ground systems and maintenance activities of existing ground systems. Leverage knowledge of UAV Operations, Ground Control Stations, and/or Sensor Control in support of Ground System Development, Business Development and Marketing efforts. Support proof of concept and prototyping activities on development and IR&D projects. Support field deployment of systems and system upgrades, operational testing, and training.
Skills Required 4 + years engineering experience working with design, integration, and/or test of UAV Systems' Ground Stations or Sensors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Skills Desired Systems Engineering experience with Requirements Analysis, Design, and Integration & Test. Operational experience as an UAV Pilot and/or Sensor Operator. Active participant in Operational Assessment, Test, & Evaluation of UAV ground systems and/or sensors. Experience writing and presenting training material. Presentation skills, specifically, presenting engineering data to non-engineers at Design Reviews.
Education BS in an engineering discipline, preferred. Experience can be substitute for degree.
