Developing complex technology programs, integrating the efforts of a multidisciplinary team covering all aspects of technology and design associated with UAV/UAS. This includes the ability to rapidly demonstrate new ideas, utilising rapid prototyping facilities and processes. Developing the capability to design and test-fly demonstrator systems in order to demonstrate UAV/UAS capability and technology. This activity is centred on a secure assembly and test facility. Job Duties and Responsibilities Develop system specifications and interface control documents for the Global Observer Launch and Recovery Element (LRE) Analyze LRE performance requirements and allocate derived requirements to lower level subsystems Perform systems analysis using standard techniques such as functional flows, use cases, sequence diagrams, state transition diagrams, and timing diagrams Define operator interfaces using human factors analysis and other engineering techniques Develop designs and software requirements for the LRE Develop and maintain subsystem analyses, specifications, ICDs, and test validation & verification plans Participate in the development of a LRE integration lab Participate in the validation of the LRE design Work with vendors and subcontractors
Required Qualifications and Background BS in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent 10+ years Systems design/analysis experience Strong analytical and concept design skills Technical knowledge of current military radars, communication radios, and operator workstations Government project experience a must. Demonstrated ability to technically manage subcontractors Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. Strong computer skills including: Windows applications, Project Management software, and Design tools. US Citizenship and an active DOD Secret or higher clearance.
