Our client is a leader within the Oil & Gas Services industry.
Specializing in corrosion prevention, they have a wealth of experience and are
very well respected within the industry. The company is expanding in the UAE
and in the Gulf region with 400 current employees.
We are looking for an experience Operations Manager/ Site Production Manager to head up the site in
UAE. Tax Free salary and a good salary package awaits the right, experienced
candidate.
OVERVIEW
OF ROLE
Daily operations in coatings and finishing business segment
including all regulatory (safety and environmental) compliance requirements
which must be managed and met at all times; achievement of productivity rates
that are established and supporting the meeting budgets. Must be customer
oriented with a focus on customer quality requirements and ensure that these
requirements are met; labour management is maintained at a high professional
standard; continuous improvement in customer service levels is achieved; insure
that all company policies and procedures are enforced.

KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES
Product/ Service Assessment
· Assess innovative new services provided to client technically with
respect to requirement, cost along
with business development team
· Explore the possibility of providing Value Add-ons for customized/innovative
services for the business’s clients
Production Planning & service Management
· Determine strategic objectives of the Coating Business Unit and
develop plans for operations improvement,
capital spending, staffing and
organizational structure appropriate to achieve these objectives
· Receive production/ project orders from Business Development Team
at H.O, complete within delivery dates
· Map out possessed capabilities of each production/ project
unit and assess the quantum of time taken by each unit (in-house/ job
workers) in production or Services provided to client
· Draw a rolling production program on monthly basis allocating
available infrastructure first to value-added and reviewing it regularly
· Work out delivery schedule of services as per required
delivery dates of projects assigned to each sites/ units.
· Issue Purchase Order request to H.O. for the units
· Monitor material availability to various project units
· Monitor programming/scheduling of both in-house production units
and outsourced job workers till completion of projects
Production Supervision, Quality Control & Deliverables
· Keep a close watch over each stage of production/ projects
· Monitor day-to-day quality issues and on-time delivery issues
· Make available adequate material,
equipment & manpower for the project
· Intimate status to H.O. and resolve any problems that might be
highlighted by supervisors related to projects
· Direct activity to accomplish safety,
quality, productivity personnel
development, improvements in the
Coating Business Unit
Commercial & Cost Control
· Adhere to budgeted departmental expenditure
· Analyze MIS Report for target VS achieved
· Prepare realization report project-wise and intimate H.O. about
the same
· Monitor monthly material balance and cost variance report and draw
up an action plan for improvements

· Anticipate problems and develops contingency plans
· Ensure that others understand and accept their responsibilities
and targets
· Identify key performance indicators to track overall performance
· Organize own work into a logical and practical sequence of
activity

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
· Mechanical Engineer
· Preferably NACE qualified
· At least 3 years experience in Coating of offshore/onshore
structures/oil and gas
· At least 2 years in a Management role
· Candidate must be hands on – take care of the site
· Strong management experience
· Must have good experience of running a site – Operations &
Maintenance O&M
· Must be able to relate to clients, staff and inspectors by building
and nurturing relationships
· Thorough knowledge of production processes and quality
KEY SKILLS
Leadership skills, objective and fair in approach, man-management, work planning & time
management, strong technical skills, team player,
proficiency in Excel & sound product knowledge and information, commercial sense,
good communication skills, assertiveness
BENEFITS
· Should be used as a guide ONLY and will reflect interview
performance and experience levels
· As a guide around 30 – 40k AED per month/ £60,324 – £80,400 GBP
per annum/ $98,000 USD - $130,000 USD per annum
· This salary package includes Basic Salary, Housing &
Travelling allowance
· In addition, private medical insurance
· Additional annual flights home for you and your spouse
