DIRECTOR OF CIRCULATION

Our client is a leader within the newspaper publishing industry with a very strong and growing reputation and number of readers.

We are looking for an experienced Director of Circulation to head up this team in UAE.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Circulation Revenue Generation/ Sales & Distribution Management

• Manage circulation sales and distribution in all geographies for the publication ensuring that the circulation sales and revenue collection targets are achieved
• Ensure that collection on credit is within the expected levels as a percentage of total outstanding

Strategic & Circulation Business Planning

• Prepare and execute the roadmap for enhancement of revenues for circulation with regards to retail sales, corporate subscriptions, promotions, new subscriptions, renewals, etc
• Analyze and develop areas to improve and increase sales and exposure

Customer Service/ Team Management

• Guide, motivate and train both the sales and customer service team members, encompass a “family team” mentality within the department
• Set circulation sales targets for each sales area executive and circulation managers

Special Projects

• Generate & present circulation reports on regular basis
• Executive team meetings/ management presentations
• Others as required

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

·      Graduate Degree/ MBA preferred

·      Marketing/ Distribution/ Sales Management certifications welcome

·      12 plus years of overall experience in circulation, distribution and marketing management

·      5 plus years spent in the Middle East in broadsheet/ media marketing in a senior management role

·      Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and persuasive skills are required at this level

·      Good team management and leadership skills

·      Able to lead various functional units towards strategizing and achievement of revenue targets
