OVERVIEWThe job holder will be responsible for the management of respective showrooms in their area and ensuring sales targets. The goal is to improve the commercial performance of the showrooms in their area, working towards an increased market share by exploiting opportunities, maximize profitability, increase customer satisfaction and ensure continued business growth. A major part of the job is managing, developing and motivating staff to increase sales and improve efficiencyKEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sales Achievements Against Set Targets·Prepare and participate in the preparation of sales budgets ·Space planning in stores according to budget setting·Conduct forward planning to exploit any opportunitiesInventory Management And Stock Distribution·Review and analyze stock and sales reports monitoring over- and understocks , implementing corrective actionto be taken·Review and effectively deal with fast / slow lines, new ranges and end of ranges and implement necessary action·Pricing of merchandise as per norms and matrix format·Verification and implementation of price revisions.·Monthly feedback on all aspects of :-Sales performance-Stock positions-Special events & promotions·Product feedback –quality, style, colors, quantities, price etc.Manage Financial Indicators ·Implement correct procedures to return stock to the sales floor, warehouse, manufacturer or other stores also in regard to damages and soiled products·Overseeing implementation of company policy and procedure in stores·Ensure management of expenses and wasteful practices·Implementation to Health & Safety regulations to maintain a safe working environmentBusiness Development And Implementation And Integration Of New Initiatives·To strategize and seek opportunity for territory expansion·Involvement and roll-out of new projects and time bound implementation of projects.·Participate in implementation of new initiativesRetail Administration
Study competition regularly and stay ahead of competition
Increase market share in the area
Send regular feedback to the Senior management on competition
Maintain best retail standards in all showrooms as per market positioning of the brand
Ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained at the highest level in all stores
Co-ordinate with Customer Relations Supervisor to maintain higher level of customer satisfaction in deliveries and fixing of furniture
Ensure right product is available at the right time in all stores
Ensure replenishments from Warehouse is done on time to avoid losing opportunities
Initiate timely action on slow moving and non moving products
Furnish regular product feedback to the senior management and the buying department
Keep the buying department informed of the product requirement for the area
Directly supervise the visual merchandising function to ensure that they support the brand and intended theme
Ensure that furniture allocation done by the Concept office is followed in each store
Work closely with the Inventory Controller for better Inventory control
Co-ordinate with Corporate Sales Manager, for corporate sales and bulk orders and ensure that the customer is served well
Showroom Administration
Prepare stores for events like sale, promotions, etc.
Ensure that all equipments, fittings in the showroom are in good condition and working properly
Ensure that customer utility areas like prayer room, toilets, etc. are always kept clean
Ensure that the back store is arranged properly and kept clean
Supervise disposal of damage items
Assist the ShowroomManager in handling customer complaints
With proper planning and space allocation, ensure that co-ordinated ranges are displayed together
Ensuring right mix of staffing across all showrooms
Oversee the scheduling of staff related activities (Leaves, Off’s, Vacation, etc.)
Train/Assist Showroom managers in conducting monthly staff meetings
Ensure that showroom/shift timings are maintained
Wherever stores are in a mall, maintain good relationship with mall management and get best service from them
Staff Wellness and Development
Develop and train staff in advance for future requirements within the area/company
Train all Retail staff to give a good feedback of the performance of their sections
Ensure that all new recruits understand their job and settle down well within the company
Assist Showroom Managers in Grievance Handling and disciplinary actions within Showroom affairs
Ensuring skill development of showroom staffs through Job rotation and On the Job training
Monitoring and appraising the performance of showroom staffs in coordination with showroom managers and developing individual career plans
