This includes the ability to rapidly demonstrate new ideas, utilising rapid prototyping facilities and processes. Developing the capability to design and test-fly demonstrator systems in order to demonstrate UAV/UAS capability and technology. This activity is centred on a secure assembly and test facility. Job description The organization is in need of experienced aerospace software engineers to develop Flight Control and Navigation Systems for unmanned aerial systems. The chosen candidates will be involved in software architecture and mission software development for the flight control and navigation system. In addition, the candidates will be involved in the detail design, test and validation of these systems. Key Candidate Requirements Minimum of a B.S. in computer and software engineering Min of 10years of experience in developing embedded mission software for flight control and navigation systems Min of 3 years of experience developing embedded mission software for flight controllers and navigation systems for UAV’s Strong understating of safety critical issues hardware/software pertaining to flight control computers Strong understanding of digital control and communication systems is required. Experience with Matlab/Simulink modeling tools Experience with DO-178B software development standards Fluent in C/C++
