Our Client is a construction group who have successfully completed major industrial and building projects across the Middle East and operate primarily in Saudi Arabia

 

They cover a wide range of engineering, including heavy Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Works Projects

 

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to be based across Saudi Arabia

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Represents the company in the best manner towards clients and other parties and promotes company image

·         Heads and directs the Project Team

·         Leads and directs project personnel to ensure that policies, procedures and directives are coherently followed and implemented

·         Works in coordination with H.O. Management Support Services

·         Coordinates subcontract works and approves payments

·         Monitors Project cost and ensures maintaining the project cost within budget

·         Monitors progress and ensures timely completion of projects

·         Responsible to head and supervise the site organization working under him, that includes:

·         Ensures that the goals and objectives of a project are successfully accomplished in accordance with the contract documents, execution plan, schedule, procedures and set priorities

·       Ensures that the following duties are fulfilled by him or, for large projects, by the Contract Eng or Officer

§  Review tender documents and ensure full compatibility with Contracts conditions with Client

§  Monitor company contracts, its rights and obligations towards clients

§  Review and advise on final claims/settlements

§  Prepare draft subcontract agreements and monitor contracts conditions with subcontractors

§  Ensure company decisions, actions, policies and documents will comply with KSA laws and regulations

§  Advise on pursuing legal actions against 3rd parties

§  Ensures that the technical requirements, Quality Plan and Procedures are successfully implemented through periodic controls

·         Ensures that the Safety Procedures are successfully implemented through discipline, training and incentives

·         Continuously monitors efficiency in productivity and utilization of all of a project's resources; and finds innovative ways and methods to improve on them

·         Continuously attempts to find means to improve on the budget set for the project without affecting the quality and safety standards

·         Continuously monitors the schedule of works for improvement and makes alterations as and when necessary to meet unplanned events

·         Ensures that all assets; including materials to be incorporated in a project, temporary site facilities, plant, machinery and vehicles, that are assigned and procured for a project, are well protected, safeguarded and properly maintained, in a clean, tidy and pleasant looking manner

·         Through leadership, teamwork and teaching, ensures high morale and "esprit de corps" among the personnel working under him

·         Promotes proper training of project staff including Saudi personnel

·         Supports the development of young Saudi Engineers and the Saudi staff’s members within the project team

·         Achieves monitors and maintains the minimum Saudization requirement on the Job

·         Keeps the Management well informed of important events, in addition to timely and proper reports

·         Ensures timely submittal of payment certificates to the client and follows up their processing and payment

·         Maintains continuous monitoring and control of subcontracted work; ensures its successful execution; receives and approves its periodic and final work and invoices

·         Protects contractual interests towards client(s); requests for necessary issuance of change orders that he eventually presents to client(s) and defends; keeps all documents in proper order; and constructively participates in any claim preparation and defense

·         Ensures proper and complete handing over of a project; and demobilizes personnel and assets in a well planned and orderly manner

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • 10 to 15 years work experience in successful execution of gas and oil projects and/or industrial infrastructure projects, preferably with Saudi Aramco
  • At least 5 years experience as Project Manager
  • Previous experience in Saudi Aramco and Sabic projects
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil or Mechanical Discipline
  • Well versed in all disciplines of work i.e. civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation
  • Familiar with the latest Quality and Safety Standards, preferably both Aramco’s and international standards
  • Conversant with Saudi Aramco and Sabic standards and procedures

 

KEY SKILLS

 

  • Possesses top leadership qualities and high moral standards; dynamic and energetic; capable of being a team leader of engineers and employees of various nationalities; accepts to work in remote areas and to respect local culture and rules
  • Computer literate
  • Able to manage contractual matters and defend company's interests
  • Strong personality with good executive skills, having top notch leadership qualities

 

BENEFITS

 

  • Salary is negotiable and will be dependent on experience and interview performance
  • As a guide only: up to 25-30k SAR per month / $80-95k USD per annum
