Our client is a very well respected name within FMCG and Food production and manufacturing based in Saudi Arabia. With rapid expansion plans for 2012 they are an exciting multinational company to be a part of with reach across the entire GCC region.

 

We are looking for an experienced Regional Business Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

 

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

 

The Regional Business Manager represents the GM in the assigned area who is responsible for managing and directing the operation, maintaining existing clients’ relationships, and increasing revenues based on yearly targets set by the Company for all departments

 

The purpose of this position is to Leverage the full resources available to ensure that the regional P&L is achieved in line with the company business strategy. Also, to build the long-term health of the assigned region by developing people as they are the number one asset of the organization

 

Reporting to: Sales General Manager

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·       Provide strategic direction and leadership to regional Sales staff, align resources, set and prioritize targets, and implement cost-effective initiatives to ensure achievement of sales objectives

·       Plan and allocate regional budgets and resources, and maintain – develop the return primary accountability for achieving the regional sales and division objective

·       Achieve budgeted / targeted sales & margin on Fresh Foods, Juice & UHT products to deliver the projected growth & profit

·       Contribute to the annual budgeting process of the Region to ensure that expectations and resources are accurate and achievable. Inform Sales GM in advance of planned or potential over-runs in Budgeted spending

·       Participate in department meetings and quarterly business planning sessions with senior management to discuss market trends and either enhancement or improvement of products and customer services

·       Understand and analyse the market to ensure correct head count by role to achieve strategic objectives of numeric & weighted distribution

·       Demonstrate leadership to the team in coaching, team building to reinforce qualities of a sales team

·       Communicate and maintain positive working relationships with all concerned customers and co-workers to take correct & timely decisions in various issues of the region

·       Provide leadership, mentorship and value to the field sales teams in the area of practice strategy, offerings, sales, supply chain capability overall performance and execution of the practice / logical business plan

·       Developing and building the right successors for every division

·       Promote the Company and its products and image to the customers, ensuring that all aspects of product, promotion and display in the trade are of the right quality and that customer issues are addressed and fixed timely

·       Conduct detailed analysis of business trends for each area to formulate specific strategic plans to maximize opportunities on regional levels

·       Ensure that all sales areas comply with company credit and cash policy and take the required actions to collect any overdue  amount outstanding with customers to avoid any financial loss to company

·       Make sure all employees adhere to policies, procedures, and quality and safety guidelines of the company

·       Monitor the provision, maintenance, security and disposal of extensive fixed Assets within the designated region particularly buildings and vehicles to ensure that these assets are well protected and utilized to the optimum level

·       Monitor, guide, coach, advise and motivate performance of sales force in their Key Result Areas and co-ordinate the individual functions to achieve the overall regional and company objectives

 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

 

·       Bachelor Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business management or any related field

·       Master Degree in sales and marketing preferred but not required

·       7 – 10 years of experience in business management role in an FMCG Sales Environment

·       At least 3 years experience in the same position working in an FMCG or Dairy/Food Industry

·       Experience in a Multinational Company would be an advantage

·       Project management experience preferred but not required

·       Fluent in English and Arabic

·       Experienced with business strategy & change processes

·       Advance understanding of Sale Analysis Tools, logistics / inventory management

·       Professional computer user, IT and ERP awareness

·       Leadership ability to influence, develops, and empowers employees to achieve objectives

·       Strong motivational, innovative, interpersonal, communication and management skills – including ability to effectively plan, monitor, influence, negotiate, supervise and delegate

·       Self directed and highly organized individual who can multi-task

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

 

·       Salary package will reflect experience levels and will depend on the candidate

·       As a guide: Basic salary is 30-35k SAR per month/ $95-110k USD per annum

·       (Proof of current earnings will be required at reference stage)

·       Housing Allowance - 25% of Basic Salary

·       Transportation Allowance - 10% of Basic Salary

·       Educational Allowance - Total limit for reimbursement is 20k SAR/child/year, up to 3 children

·       Plus medical coverage for family and return flights to home country each year (up to 2 children)

·       Tax free salary
