Our Client is a construction group who have successfully completed major industrial and building projects across the Middle East and operate primarily in Saudi Arabia

 

They cover a wide range of engineering, including heavy Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Works Projects

 

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to be based in Saudi Arabia

 

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

 

Handling the Contracts Management for the company overseeing the company and client interests throughout the project life cycle including reducing all financial and legal risks

 

Reporting to: Senior Executive Vice President

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Make sure the conditions of the contracts are respected

·         Make sure the financial risks are identified

·         Manage the changes (financial and temporal feasibility, impacts)

·         Handle potential complaints

·         Analyze the offer and the coherence of the contractual clauses, perform risk management analysis

·         Propose practical details to consult the markets

·         Analyze offers’ compliance to customer’s rules and the current administrative and legal clauses

·         Ensure that the contractual obligations for the customer, the suppliers, the companies and the providers and their subcontractors are duly met

·         Identify any opportunity of improvement to the contract: create and negotiate the corresponding amendments

·         Manage the penalties issue and its repercussions

·         Analyze the litigations

·         Supervise all the required statements related to the insurances and the public authorities

·         Use PRIMAVERA CONTRACT MANAGEMENT Program

·         Perform all administration activities related to signed contracts with external parties within the Project Management & Operations department, this includes (but is not limited to):

o    Contracts payments processes

o    Change orders processes

o    Claims administration processes

o    Material change requests

o    Contracts filing and archiving processes

o    Other related activities

·         Ensure that all contract obligations are understood, agreed on and adhered to by all parties involved

·         Monitor contracts progress and payment status and ensure that appropriate reporting of project contracts status is provided

·         Ensure that all contracts administration activities (i.e. payments, change orders, claims administration, material change requests, etc.) are updated and registered in the Consultant / Contractor Management system in order to ensure proper contract audit and management

·         Report any contract breaches and non-adherence issues to the Central Procurement, Project Managers and higher company management

·         Writing of contractual letters whenever necessary

·         Perform all filing and archiving activities and ensure that all contracts documentations related to the Project Management & Operations department and to Head Office are filed and archived properly. This should include documents such as (but is not limited to):

o    Payments vouchers

o    Change orders

o    Disputes

o    Claims

o    Other related documentation

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and or (Quantity surveying + Business Law)

·         Minimum of 10 years related experience

·         At least 5 years experience in contract management preferably in construction of oil and gas projects

·         Must have used Primavera Contract Management during former projects and other planning tools with strong examples of this

·         The candidate must be fluent in writing and communicating in English. French is a plus

·         Middle East Experience – Saudi experience is a plus

·         Experience working within large projects ($100+ Million USD)

BENEFITS

 

  • Salary is negotiable and will be dependent on experience and interview performance
  • As a guide only: Basic salary is 18-22k SAR per month / $60-70k USD per annum
