Job Purpose The individual holding this position will be required to plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise the development, maintenance and operation of Airport Systems and day to day operations. Lead and supervise the Airport applications unit. The individual will also be responsible for the development and continuous appraisal of all systems and procedures under his/her scope and manage all the airport applications and staff: To ensure that all Airport ICT systems are capable of meeting all stakeholder, user and business requirements at all times with no loss of service to the business To ensure, through strategic planning, that the most appropriate systems are deployed to support the business achieving its goals and appropriate training is carried out for key ICT staff
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise day to day ICT systems as well as the airport specialized systems Assist in the promotion, recruitment, and the negotiations with clients Maintain accurate records of all IT operations Plan and organize the deployment and upgrades of ICT resources and the scheduling of work for all airport systems and to be aligned with strategic needs of the business in most cost effective manner Ensure that the department provides the necessary level of support for the end users Ensure that the implementation of any new functionality based on new business needs is rolled out effectively Validate the design developed by supplier’s and its conformance with International standards Implementation of systems as per the detailed design Effective coordination with statuary & regulatory authorities Develop O&M manual Coordinate with operations department during design & implementation Direct, plan and coordinate the development of all ICT operations and management systems Help set the required SLAs and outsourcing contracts concerning ICT Airport Applications Evaluate the proposed systems to be in line with the latest airport technology trends Monitoring & reporting of progress of works Keep staff informed about the latest technologies at the company and define/use best practices/processes to support the overall corporate strategy (All sites and operations) Manage SOPs and EOPs
Qualifications
Minimum BS in a related field or B.Tech/ B.E in Electrical Engineering or related field or a higher degree in engineering management, business management or related field Management and technical certifications Project Management certifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience At least 12+ years experience in operations and management of information technology in a commercial airport of similar size to the MTC PAL4. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Airport IT with strong industry participation. Familiarity with Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE), International Airport Transportation Association (IATA), airport passenger handling and/or operations. Strong technical background, with MSCS an advantage. Ability to develop SOPs. Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations governing the ICT operations of airports; methods, practices, equipment and budget preparation and administration. Significant knowledge of airport specific applications and management systems Significant knowledge of airport specific applications and management systems specifically working in an AODB environment Ability to produce reports proposals and correspondence related to the ICT operations and management systems Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with different individuals and groups. Ability to effectively organize groups to accomplish planning and implementation of set goals within a set timeline Should also have experience in managing the physical and intellectual property with company systems including security policies Must have solid analytical and troubleshooting skills Experience in dealing with Service Level Agreements Fluent in Arabic and English (verbal and written) Demonstrated high work ethics
