Our client is a specialist Dewatering Services Company, which deals with major construction projects across the UAE. They have an excellent reputation within the industry largely due to their cost conscious and functional standards of design. They have a large multicultural workforce of skilled and experienced personnel with high HSE standards and excellent time management.

 

They are currently looking for an experienced Design & Estimation Engineer- Dewatering to be responsible for developing the design for groundwater control systems and develop the estimation and costing for the control systems according to the proposed design.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Prepare drawings and layouts as per the client requirement and pump system.
  • Review project drawings and specifications, project specific geotechnical reports, hydro geological reports and environmental reports.
  • Develop detailed groundwater control solutions for all sectors of construction
  • Develop and design multistage groundwater treatment and filtration systems for site specific applications related to groundwater and surface water control.
  • Plan and schedule engineering, procurement and manufacturing activities to complete build of complex pump system designs.
  • Devise solutions to resolve complex pump applications involving pipe design, electrical and control design and diesel engine operation.
  • Select appropriate pump, driver, mount and accessories required for the application.
  • Develop price estimating/costing of groundwater control and treatment solutions to provide sound quotes.
  • Develop technical documentation and participate in proposal efforts in support of new business.
  • Assist in the Assist in field coordination in support of the installation, operation, and decommissioning of the projects.
  • To maintain and manage database of all designs and project files.
  • Coordination with operation manager/ Sales engineer while making plans and drawings.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelors Degree in civil / geological / environmental engineering / environmental science from an accredited university with
  • 3 - 5 years experience related to pumping and dewatering systems
  • Candidate with Very strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Experience in computer drafting programs such as AutoCAD is an asset

 

BENEFITS

 

  • Salary package will depend on experience levels and interview performance
  • Should be used as a guide only: Salary Range is 14-16k AED per month / $44-50k USD per annum
  • Tax free earnings
